Nothing Much is New

Havar 2000
The twins turned 5, thank goodness because two toddlers are the worst in taking care of! We gave away our beloved cats due to thier destructive nature. We could barely afford to keep replacing the furniture or items they continued to destroy. Work is going well, thankfully I still have a job, Johan has been promoted so to speak so we have a little more money coming in, but we still have to watch the simoleans carefully.

Harvesting Young Minds

Havar 2000What a busy month it's been. The new school opened to much fanfare. I am really close to hiring Jesse Kent for the position of primary teacher as student enrollment has increased exponentially. My twins have turned 5 as well as three other children in the neighborhood, making the kindergarten class five little sims. Two third graders, two junior high students and four high school students round out enrollment to 13 sims.

The new school has two buildings, primary and secondary. The primary building serves grades K-5 on the lower level and grades 6-8 on the upper level. There is a small cafeteria in thier building as well as a small playground. Next to it is the secondary building for grades 9-12.

The new school sits behind the administration buildings, so we see a lot of the hood council president stopping by. I have to give my report of the upcoming graduation ceremony for the two seniors as well as the happenings at Pierce University. Besides lectures to the students and a few hands on classes, I do not spend much time devoted to AVA, hopefully Jesse will eventually become the administrator.

Finally Moving

We'll be moving soon...again. We just moved into our new home when the hood council annouced that all families will be moving into gated communities. That's fine, it will help the residents become a bit closer, so we'll see what happens. Jadhira is eyeing the townhomes going up...I rather have a home with a yard, but if the woman of the house is unhappy then everyone is unhappy...so it looks like a townhome we shall be getting.

Some Photos

I decided to put a few photos of the family...nothing much has been happening...simply looking for a new place to move and watching the economy...yikes. It's a bit scary seeing the stock market fall...I still wonder how it will affect us...hopefully not a lot.

Pottery Makes Business

I have found a new passion...clay plates. I love the feel of the clay bewteen my fingers...it relaxes me after a long day of arranging flowers at the market. Not that I don't love creating bouquets, but with some pottery and selling it to the local gallery...I could make some more simoleans and more simoleans means a better life for the twins.

Glowing Knowledge

Our children almost seem to glow with thier knowledge. Both are mastering simlish and I've started teaching Myra the Urdish language (Jadhira's ancestor's native tongue). I want my little girl to be able to talk with most of simnation, so we're surrounding them with multi-lingual toys and videos...even if Jadhira and I can't understand them, I want our children to be able to speak lots of languages and to ace the skill exams...so we're starting early. Hey, the extra scholarship money will come in handy and maybe, just maybe they'll enter FENSA one simday.

Growing Fast

The twins are growing so fast and learning even quicker! Wow, our children are smart as can be. Myra has already learned to talk and she's working on walking while Naraj is a walking pro! Both children enjoy drawing and playing with blocks or either watching the snow from the windows...soon they'll be teens before we know it!
